Four Chinese Futures Exchanges Become Members of WFE

  At the 52nd General Assembly of World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) held in Taipei, Shanghai Futures Exchange, Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange and China Financial Futures Exchange became members of WFE.
  At the meeting yesterday, WFE approved new statutes that altered the structure of the organization from a secretariat to a corporate body, and the position of Secretary General was replaced by Chief Executive Officer, which means H┨seyin Erkan, who was appointed the new Secretary General of the WFE, will become the Chief Executive Officer. The General Assembly also elected new board members, the current Chairman Ronald Arculli to be succeeded by Andreas Preuss, Deputy CEO of Deutsche B?rse Group and CEO of Eurex. Gui Minjie, Party Chief and Chairman of Shanghai Futures Exchange and Chung-kong Chow, Chairman of Hong Kong Exchange, are among the newly elected board members.
  WFE currently has 59 members and over 45,000 listed companies.
