　　China’s array of futures products expanded to 28 offerings as Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) launched the silver futures contract on May 10, 2012. Liu Xinhua, Vice Chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), Tu Guangshao, Standing Member of Shanghai Party Committee and Vice Mayor, and Wang Qinhua, Vice Chairman of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association attended the launching ceremony and addressed speeches. Jiang Yang, Assistant to Chairman of CSRC pronounced CSRC’s approval of SHFE’s launch of the contract. Liu Xinhua and Tu Guangshao jointly unveiled the contract and struck the gong to mark the beginning of trading.
　　Present at the launch ceremony, which was presided over by SHFE President Yang Maijun, were Chairman Gui Minjie of Shanghai Stock Exchange, officials from relevant departments and agencies of the General Office of the State Council, National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, CSRC and its branch, executives from exchanges, industrial associations and officials from relevant departments of Shanghai Municipality, and representatives from the securities and futures communities.
