Corn Futures Price Hits News Record High

¡¡¡¡Amid a shortage of supply, prices of corns at Northeast China ports keep going up for the second week, generally increase by RMB20 to 25 per ton compared with last week. Therefore, Dalian Commodity Exchange¡¯s Corn Futures Price Index hit 2,465 yesterday, a record high since its launch (the previous record was 2,460 on February 14, 2011), and the total open positions surged beyond a million in four years. The trading volume and price of DCE¡¯s corn contract 1209 both went up yesterday and the open positions at close was 144,000 more than the previous day.
