Futures Market Turnover of Nearly RMB67 Trillion in the 1st Half

  According to latest statistics from the China Futures Association (CFA), the national futures transaction decreased in June. On a unilateral basis, the transaction volume in June was 79,950,316 contracts and the turnover was RMB10.385536 trillion, increased by 31.76% and 18.64% year on year, but falling by 14.77% and 13.68% compared with May. As many as 491,993,270 contracts of futures were traded between January and June, down by 28.11% year on year and bringing the total turnover to RMB66.981515 trillion, up by 13.65%.
  Statistics showed that Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) traded 128,535,221 contracts in the past six months with a turnover of RMB17.441628 trillion, accounting for 26.13% and 26.04% respectively of the national market, a year on year decrease of 57.21% and 40.83%.
  Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange traded 217,578,224 contracts in the past six months with a turnover of RMB21.024786 trillion, accounting for 44.22% and 31.39% respectively of the national market, a year on year decrease of 3.99% for the trade volume and an increase of 77.53% for the turnover.
  Dalian Commodity Exchange traded 123,879,623 contracts in the past six months with a turnover of RMB7.736234 trillion, accounting for 25.18% and 11.55% respectively of the national market, a year on year decrease of 14.57% for the trade volume and an increase of 9.79% for the turnover.
  China Financial Futures Exchange traded 22,000,202 contracts in the past six months with a turnover of RMB20.778868 trillion, accounting for 4.47% and 31.02% respectively of the national market, a year on year increase of 77.97% and 96.60%.
